Lousy's Journey to Happiness

Blind Lousy didn’t have an easy start in life. She was found on the streets of Paros, completely disoriented, malnourished, and dehydrated. A kind local took her in and cared for her lovingly during the first few days before she came to our shelter. Since all spaces in the cat house were full, she was given a temporary spot in our office.

Luckily, she didn’t have to wait long—after just 19 days at the shelter, her forever family found her. We shared her story as an emergency case, and they reached out right away. It was love at first sight.

After arriving at her new home, Lousy first chose a safe spot under the bench, where she spent most of her time in the first few days. But soon, she started venturing out into the living room. She immediately found her litter box, and the moment she hears the sound of food bowls clattering, she rushes to her feeding spot. She eats with great enthusiasm and has already gained a few grams.

She has also settled in well with her new cat companion—he now even greets her with a gentle nose boop. But Lousy doesn’t just share her home with him; she also lives with a dog who, just like her, was rescued from Paros. So she has not only found a loving family but also furry friends who, like her, were given a second chance.

When she thinks no one is watching, she confidently explores her new home—her family even set up cameras to follow her progress. But the best part? She has turned out to be the sweetest cuddle bug!

Her family is beyond happy to have her. Sometimes, you just have to trust your gut feeling—and theirs told them that Lousy was meant to be part of their lives.
