Minos
In August 2023, Minos, formerly known as Prince, along with his friend Rita, was left at the shelter’s gate. The unexpected arrival of these animals, often in dire circumstances, is challenging for both the animals and the shelter. It's heartbreaking to see pets abandoned, and it’s difficult for the shelter staff who have no time to prepare for new arrivals, especially when space is limited. Despite the frustration and anger these situations can evoke, we strive to turn them into positive outcomes.
From the first day, it was clear that Minos was a special cat. His energy, confidence, love, and mischief quickly became evident. Whenever the shelter team took a break, Minos was there, ready to steal snacks from the managers. His persistence and quickness in these little heists made us laugh despite the chaos he sometimes caused. Minos’ spirited temperament made him unforgettable, and we were determined to find him a home as unique and perfect as he is.
A Message from Minos’ Mom:
“Actually, I think it wasn’t us who found him, but rather he found us. After our old cat died, we weren’t ready for a new cat at first. By chance, we came across the animal agency website. The first ad that appeared was his. We fell in love immediately and knew straight away that he would suit us so well. We were looking for an affectionate cat that would, on the one hand, get along with our dog and, on the other hand, be a real adventure cat. We have been dreaming for a long time about being able to take our cat with us on our small and larger trips. The website said he might make a good camping cat, so we thought: let’s try that out! If we’re lucky, we might be able to take him on his first vacation to Italy in September. The pictures of him on Facebook and Instagram were so funny and gave an insight into how curious, cuddly, and funny he is. Now he makes us laugh every day with his clumsy manner and showers us with love and cuddles. Also, it’s important to keep in mind that he’s a little prince! Fortunately, because I work from home a lot, I can give him the attention he demands, and in return, he is the best company you could wish for - a perfect match!”
We are incredibly grateful that Minos has found a loving, happy, and safe home. We couldn’t think of a happier ending! Minos spent 293 days in our shelter until he finally met his forever family on May 31, 2024.
