Samy and Soula
"Of course we only wanted one dog", we are often told. But that's always before you get to know our special island dogs from Paros.
On April 13, 2020, Soula was found heavily pregnant in Aspro Chorio.
The forever family of Samy and Soula tells their story: "In May 2020 I saw the video of Soula and her puppies on the website. Soula was left half-starved and came into the care of the PAWS shelter. She had tried unsuccessfully to chase chickens. She had shot pellets all over her body and lots of scars. Soula was pregnant with six puppies. We lost our hearts to Samy (formerly Weisstrumpf)." The adopters themselves took over the flight escort and picked up little Samy and four other dogs in Athens. "A month later, we received a call asking if we could take in Soula (his mother), and it quickly became clear that we had to adopt her too. That's how the fearful Soula came to us. Ever since she has overcome all her fears and has become a confident dog. Samy can now spend his life together with his mother."
Sammy left the shelter after 72 days and Soula followed her son after spending 80 days at the shelter.
We call that a Happy Ending! Thank you for your big hearts <3
